| Our teachers in Sicily are three women who are emblematic of what To Grandmother's House Cooking Tours is all about - home cooks, preparing family recipes, using typical, seasonal Sicilian ingredients. We will share some of their favorite recipes in their homes.

| Alessia |
| Alessia grew up around the family seafood stand in the Ortigia central market. Today she offers cooking classes in her home in Siracusa. Working with fish fresh from the market we will prepare some of Alessia's favorite recipes. Alessia bottles her own wine which will accompany our meals at her home.

| Giuseppina |
| Giuseppina is a native of Siracusa. She is a home cook who prepares family recipes passed down from generation to generation. Working from her home kitchen she warmly welcomes family, friends and now students to her home to enjoy her wonderful recipes and sample her homemade liqueurs and marmalades.

| Fiora |
| Fiora's cooking is an art passed down for generations in her family. She has been passionate about food since childhood and learned her skills from family tradition. Her cooking is a result of sensibility and culture and above all love - the first ingredient and most important ingredient in the preparation of a good meal. She is a member of the Italian Academy of Cuisine. In addition, she runs several businesses including a travel agency, a Sicilian food specialty shop and owns L'approdo B&B which is run by her son Friedi.
